Neem Soap
What is neem soap? Neem soap is a medicinal soap that was first used in the Indian subcontinent which also includes Pakistan. There, almost eight percent of all harvested neem oil is used for their soap. As such, neem soap is the most widely type of soap in both Pakistan and India.
So why is neem soap so widely used there and in other parts of the world? It has to do with the natural properties that neem oil possesses. Neem oil is a natural antifungal, antibacterial and antiseptic.
Additionally, it has anti inflammation properties. Because of its benefits, it is seen as a treatment for skin disorders which include dermatitis, ringworm and eczema. A such, it is normally used in conjunction with other treatments to cure these skin conditions.
There are many different types of neem soap on the market. And most of them vary in the kinds of ingredients used in the soap. First, avoid blindly buying just any soap that contains neem.
Many manufacturers use a very little amount of neem in the soap itself. You want to avoid these types of neem soaps. Look for soaps that have around twenty percent neem in them. Some even have up to thirty percent.
Also, you should always choose neem that is cold pressed as heat based extraction processes can destroy some of the properties that neem provides us. Cold pressed neem oil is more expensive but makes for a superior product in the end.
